Holiday Closing

We will be closed Labor Day weekend, from Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5. Please do not leave donations when we are closed.
We will re-open for donations on Tuesday, 9/6, 9am to 12n.

Donation Drop-Offs

Except during holiday closures, drop-off donations can be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9am to 12n without an appointment. Please follow the signs to our new donation drop off area. Please be patient – our volunteers are working very hard to help you make your donation. Please make sure the items you bring meet our donation guidelines.

Household Goods is in urgent need of good-quality couches, twin and queen mattresses, and dining tables to give to people in need.

Household Goods, Inc. provides a full range of donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home.

Throughout Massachusetts, thousands of individuals and families are living without basic furniture and household goods. Finding and securing housing is essential for health, well being, and stability, but it is only the first step. Without basic furnishings – beds, a couch, chairs, a dining table, and kitchenware – a house or apartment is little more than a bare shelter.

Hundreds of social service agencies refer people who are recently homeless, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, low income, immigrants, victims of disaster, or are coping with illness or disability to Household Goods.

Each year, Household Goods furnishes over 2,500 homes with 60,000 pieces of furniture and smaller household items. All this is made possible by hundreds of dedicated volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year.
